Ren
The Ren is the flagship six string of the Archangel family. It features a 25.5” scale neck with a 16” radius, carbon fiber reinforcement rods, a double action truss rod, 24 stainless steel frets, and Archangel’s own adjustable break angle system at the base of the neck. The body’s ergonomic profile is designed to ensure unparalleled upper fret access, neck balance, and comfortable seating in the classical position. The pickups load in from the back of the guitar and are mounted directly to the body, which allows the body of the guitar to act as the pickup ring. This pickup mounting system guarantees all the tonal benefits of direct mounting a pickup to the body (if you believe there are any) while retaining the full adjustability of using a pickup ring. The bridge featured in the Ren is a double locking tremolo which is decked against the body, meaning it is “dive only”. This allows for all the creative expression of a tremolo system while having perfect tuning stability and the long lasting sustain of a fixed bridge.
Bellum
The Bellum is essentially a seven-string version of the Ren. It features the same rear loading pickups, double locking bridge dive only bridge, and adjustable break angle system. The ergonomic profile is relatively the same as the Ren as well just scaled up to be proportional to a seven-string platform. The scale length is also 26.5” to accommodate the low B string with 24 stainless steel jumbo frets.
Ren Legacy
The Ren Legacy is the foundation of the Archangel family. The ergonomic profile is what all other models are based off of. The Ren Legacy is a much more “traditional” and classic body shape. It has a 25.5” scale length, carbon fiber reinforcement rods, double action truss rod, and 24 stainless steel jumbo frets. The Ren Legacy shares the use of a double locking dive only tremolo system, and it has direct mounted pickups (it can be altered to have the same rear loading pickup system seen in the Ren Modern upon customer request)
